A heat pump is an all-in-one heating and cooling system. Instead of separate systems, like a furnace and an air conditioner, a heat pump can cool your home in the summer and heat your home during the winter.

Yes, you should replace the furnace air filters consistently. Be sure and use the indicated size for your furnace, and double check they are installed correctly. Depending on the amount of system usage, pet dander, hair or fur, dust and other contaminants in the air, FAST of Florida advises changing your air filter every 30 to 90 days.

It is pivotal to keep the area around the furnace free of debris, dirt, and any miscellaneous items. Making sure no storage items are in the area will also help keep the equipment more accessible for repairs or an inspection.

If your heater is in needof constant repairs, is 15 years or older, or cannot heat your home correctly, we advise replacing it. When a heater or HVAC system is old, it won’t operate as efficiently and may actually end up costing you more money than it should.
